Q: Where are you located?
Our studio and base of operations are in Morinville / Sturgeon County, Alberta, just outside Edmonton. We happily serve couples and clients across Alberta — and love to travel for destination weddings and events.

Q: How do I book?
Head to the contact us form on our website! Once you inquire, you’ll receive a personalized response (usually within 48 hours) with next steps and a link to schedule a consultation.

Q: How far in advance should I book?
We recommend securing your date 12–18 months in advance for weddings, and at least 2–3 months ahead for boudoir, branding, or grazing events — especially during peak summer and fall seasons.

Q: Do you travel?
Absolutely! Whether you’re saying “I do” in the mountains, the prairies, or by the sea, we love to travel for weddings and events. Travel fees vary depending on distance and logistics, and we’ll provide a custom quote before booking.

Weddings & Events

Q: What’s the difference between Wedding Management and Full Planning?
Full Planning means we’re with you from start to finish — design, vendors, timelines, and logistics — crafting your wedding vision together. Wedding Day Management (sometimes called “day-of coordination”) begins about 30 days before your wedding, when we step in to finalize details, confirm vendors, and run the day seamlessly so you can simply enjoy it.

Q: Why should we hire a planner?
Planning a wedding takes over 400 hours — and that’s before the rehearsal even begins. A planner ensures no detail slips through the cracks, keeps everyone on schedule, and problem-solves behind the scenes so you can focus on what matters most: marrying your best friend.

Q: Do you work with specific venues or vendors?
Yes! Ella Mack Creative is proudly partnered with select Alberta venues such as Pioneer Valley Barn, and we maintain a curated Preferred Vendor List “ The Hitch List” built on trust and quality. We also welcome new collaborations when couples have personal favorites.

Q: Can we still plan our own wedding if we hire you?
Of course! Think of us as your co-pilot. You can stay as hands-on as you like — we’ll guide, advise, and execute the details so you don’t have to carry it all.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We understand that weddings are a major investment. Payment plans are available for all planning and photography packages, with deposits due upon booking to secure your date.

Photography, Boudoir & Studio Sessions

Q: How would you describe your photography style?
Warm, emotive, and timeless — with a little editorial edge. We focus on capturing genuine connection, unposed moments, and artful storytelling that feels like you.

Q: Where are your sessions held?
Most sessions take place in our private Morinville studio, a cozy, light-filled space designed for boudoir, branding, lifestyle, maternity, and newborn photography. The space offers a variety of backdrops, textures, and setups that can be customized to fit your session vibe — from soft and romantic to bold and modern.

Q: What makes the Morinville Studio special?
Our studio was created to be a comfortable, welcoming environment where you can fully relax and be yourself. It’s equipped with professional lighting, a client wardrobe for select sessions, and styling options for branding and lifestyle shoots. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, documenting your motherhood journey, or building your brand — this space is made to feel like home.

Q: Do you photograph newborn and maternity sessions?
Yes! We adore documenting these seasons of life. Our newborn sessions are slow-paced and baby-led for comfort and safety, and maternity sessions can be done in-studio or outdoors, depending on your style.

Q: I’ve never done a boudoir shoot before — what should I expect?
Our boudoir experience is empowering, comfortable, and tailored to your personality. You’ll receive a full prep guide, posing direction, and encouragement every step of the way. You don’t need to know how to pose — we’ll guide you through everything.

Q: Can I bring a friend or partner to my session?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring a trusted friend or your partner for support, as long as their presence helps you feel relaxed and confident.

Q: How long does it take to receive my photos?
For weddings, galleries are typically delivered within 10–14 weeks during peak season. For boudoir, branding, lifestyle, or newborn sessions, turnaround time is usually 3–4 weeks.

Q: Do you offer retouching?
Yes — all images receive natural, professional editing. Boudoir clients can also request detailed retouching in line with our self-love and body-positive philosophy. We celebrate your natural beauty and will never over-edit your authentic self.

Ella Mack Grazing Co.

Q: What is Ella Mack Grazing Co.?
Our grazing division curates luxury charcuterie boards, boxes, and tables using locally sourced ingredients, homemade pickles, and house-made touches. We believe food should be as beautiful as it is delicious — crafted with care and presented with elegance.

Q: Do you offer delivery or setup?
Yes — we offer delivery throughout the Edmonton area and can provide full event setup for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations. Travel fees may apply for longer distances.

Q: How much notice do you need for a grazing order?
For boards and boxes, please place orders at least 7 days in advance. For full grazing tables or event catering, we recommend 3–4 weeks’ notice but it is better to plan for as much notice as possible to ensure preferred date during peak season as we do book up fast, ingredient sourcing and design time.

Q: Can you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?
We do our best! Please list all allergies or intolerances when ordering. While our prep kitchen is not allergen-free, we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination and can prepare lactose- or gluten-friendly options.

Q: Do you collaborate with other vendors?
Absolutely! We love partnering with venues, florists, and bartenders for styled shoots, events, and weddings. Let’s dream something delicious together.

Policies & Extras

Q: What happens if we need to reschedule or cancel?
We understand that life happens. Retainers are non-refundable, but in many cases can be transferred to a new date if available. We’ll always do our best to accommodate changes with compassion and fairness.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept e-transfer, credit card( there is a 3% added fee for CC payments). Payment schedules vary by service, and all details will be outlined in your contract.
